What is a Tech Pack?

Think of a Tech Pack as your manufacturing playbook. It’s an essential tool that saves you time, money, and headaches by keeping costly mistakes at bay during your development process.

When requesting quotations from manufacturers, doing Factory Sourcing or starting the Sample Development process, having a Tech Pack is crucial. You can't be able to start a sample or get the correct quotation without it. After starting development, a Tech Pack is the bible for sampling and production. Whatever you spec (and omit) is the blueprint for manufacturers. You can’t complain about something they did “wrong” if you didn't specify it. 

Personally, I like adding the history of the Style in the same tech pack, this way after you receive the sample and make comments, you can document it and keep track of the whole history. This keeps things organized and all changes grouped in one single document instead of multiple email chains.
