I'm Maria
As a Fashion Developer and individual, I am driven by a deep commitment to creativity, ethics, and purpose. My design philosophy is centered on crafting meaningful and sustainable solutions that not only meet the needs of today but also respect the resources of tomorrow. I believe in creating with intention—balancing innovation with responsibility—and fostering collaboration to bring ideas to life.
My career began with founding a company in Mexico in 2014 dedicated to the development and creation of costumes for opera, theatre, and dance. This experience sparked my passion for design, and I later moved to Spain where I worked as a product developer for Austrian and German influencers. Along the way, I’ve had the privilege of working with sustainable European factories in Spain, Bulgaria, Portugal, and Turkey, deepening my commitment to ethical and responsible production practices.
In life and work, integrity and empathy are my guiding principles. I strive to approach every challenge with honesty, fairness, and respect for those around me. Whether it's through my designs or my daily actions, I aim to contribute positively to the world, promoting inclusivity and thoughtful practices.

ABOUT BORN STUDIO
After returning to my homeland, Mexico, I founded Born Studio in 2022, where I began working with streetwear brands in America, Canada and Europe. This experience allowed me to dive deep into production management, giving me a broader business perspective. I’ve learned the importance of managing budgets efficiently while maintaining transparency with clients at every step. By ensuring clear communication and honest practices, I’ve been able to build strong, trustworthy relationships and deliver results that align with my clients’ goals and financial expectations.
The journey has been incredibly fulfilling, filled with opportunities to grow, overcome challenges, and gain real valuable experiences. Each project and people has brought unique lessons, shaping both my professional and personal growth. I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished so far, there’s always room to learn and improve.
